An attractive market town on the Bandon-Bantry road, with two triangular squares' and a swimming pool. From here westwards the character of the landscape changes, becoming much more rugged and rock-strewn. All routes from here towards Bantry Bay are impressive: adventurous drivers might try one of the little ones that curl northwards by Togher Bridge before turning west over the hills.
